Hey, I am contacting you hoping to get some direction regarding a file I recently created and uploaded called '''Scallop Diagram.jpg'''. Not long after it was uploaded another editor tagged the image with the {{no source since}} template, this despite the fact that the image was clearly marked with the |source={{own}} parameter of the file's information template. Now, fair enough, it is a very nice drawing, and I give the other editor full credit for doubting its authenticity as having been generated by li'l old me. The fact remains, however, that I am the image's sole source and author. I left a note on the other editor's talk page explaining this and asking him/ her to advise me on what aught to happen next. So far (that was a day ago) there has been no response. I realize I should be patient here and give the other editor some more time, which I intend to do. But in the mean time, I wanted to try to get a better handle on the Wikimedia rules and regs regarding sources and authorship and figure out if I had in fact done something wrong when uploading the file. It doesn't look like I have, but I am hesitant to remove the no-source-since tag on my own (doing it myself seems inappropriate). Any thoughts? Thanks!
