:I think your images are not affected by the bug. However [http://gimp.open-source-solution.org/manual/gimp-image-flatten.html flattening] the XCF-image should always produce correct output. There would be no need to upload a seperate PNG version. Also you will not be able to upload a PNG version on top of a XCF-file.
