It would have been nice to receive a notification about this, as all of the photos from the Dutch Navy's website are free for use, and we could have avoided this hassle. ::Ah, I see what happened: [[Commons:Deletion requests/Template:PD-NL-Gov/en]]. As noted there, all photos from Dutch government websites are available under CC-0. Why you did not try to distinguish these images from actual copyright infringements is beyond me, but now we're stuck with a lot of deleted images that should not have been deleted. As a note for the future, it's typically better to communicate before hastily deleting everything.
