Just a few words about your photographs of flowers. I think three remarks can help you : a/ on the QI page, you've to avoid all JPEG artifacts. So it can be better to shoot RAW files, instead of JPEG. In all cases too much sharpness is not good. b/ I'm not a specialist but I like shooting flowers and I know the main problem is depth of field (DOF on Commons) : the whole flower has to be sharp. Concerning this problem, I've noticed that you don't use optimal camera settings : why don't you try with 200 ISO (especially in winter) and an aperture of F/11 (usually the best on a great majority of lenses and, in any case, better than F/5.6) ? c/ Third remark : you can use a tripod, sometimes necessary with low speeds. -- I hope you'll understand my English, which is not really good... but I don't speak any other foreign language.
