Hi Armbrust,
+
Hi Armbrust, I can see that two pics which I have uploaded are tagged for deletion but I am not sure how to respond to that. I hope messaging you like this is ok? My rationale for assuming that the pics are ok to upload is as follows:
−
+
# The picture of the Escort Frigate was drawn by Bagley for the Canadian War Office when he was working for them seconded to the Royal Canadian Navy from 1939 to 45. Therefore I have assumed that the copywrite holder is the Canadian Government and not Geoffrey Bagley, therefore there should be no copywrite issues in the same way that the USA Government does not copywrite its images.

# The oil painting of the speed boat is in my personal collection. I own the painting and I own the image and picture which I have used of the painting. Therefore there are no copywrite issues there.

I hope my assumptions are correct and that the pictures are allowed to remain. If you need any further information please message me. Regards, Bagley59 —Preceding comment was added at 16:01, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

:Sorry, but that's not enough. (1) There is no similarity between the Government works of the US and Canada. (2) That you own the painting doesn't mean, that you also have copyright for it. BTW in the meantime both images were deleted by Ronhjones. User:Armbrust (Local talk - en.Wikipedia talk) 23:40, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
