Now, regarding the image. I strongly feel it is the image of a Tiyya or Pulaya girl rather than a Nair girl. You have named the file as "മലബാറിലെ നായര്‍ പെണ്‍കുട്ടി (1914).jpg" which is the Malayalam of "A Malabar Nair girl (1914)". Another user can upload the same image with some other descriptions like "A Tamil Vellala girl" or "A Kurichia tribal girl". The image does not contain any caption. This is why I call it insufficient source information. There is no evidence that this is a photo of a Nair lady. You must provide a source which proves that this is actually a Nair girl's image.
