New pageThe photographer is the actual copyright holder unless the subject used a timer, remote, or bought the rights from the photographer (rare). Have the true rights holder send an email through [[Commons:OTRS]] with the file name 'File:Image name here.jpg'. They will have to choose a free licence from [[Commons:Licensing]]. [[Template:Cc-by-3.0|Cc-by-3.0]] is a very common one as well as 100's of others in [[:Category:License tags]]. They can ask for 'attibution' in any form they wish. This can be a name, company, and/or website.
