The Easter begins the Sunday before the Palm Sunday with a proclamation at the Encarnation Church and the move of Ntra. Sra. la Santísima Virgen de las Angustias and Ntro. Padre Jesús Nazareno to the Encarnation Church from their hermitages.
After a week with a lot liturgical activities realised by the brotherhoods, the “Viernes de Dolores” all the statues return to their hermitages.
Vera has as proper symbols the main Misteries of the Passion.
The visitors of the city, built by Carlos V after the earthquake in 1518, will remember beautiful and different symbols and stuates of this city.
Vera's Easter is a religious, social and cultural event, which is a mix of art, history and faith.

In the procession of the “Hermandad Juvenil e Infantil de la Virgen de los Perdones y Jesús de la Esperanza” many children and teenagers transform in women and men during some hours who carry beautiful and great satues/thrones.
=== “Miercoles Santo” ===
La Santa Misa is celebrated and then the Stations of the Cross is realised representing the main steps of the Jesus life.
“JUEVES SANTO”
In the afternoon, are celebrated the “Santos Oficios (Last Dinner)” at the Church and the “Reserva del Santísimo en el Monumento”, where is exposed.
At night, the Real y Venerable Hermandad de San Juan Evangelista y Stmo. Cristo de la Misericordia makes its procession.

In the morning, in silent, men realise the "Subida de Jesús", procession which move the statue of the Jesus from The hermitage of San Ramón to the Main Square, to find with the Virgen de las Angustias. Then, a roman soldier recites the sentence of Pilatos ( well-known as “Pregón del Judío”). At 10:OOh, the Real Archicofradía de Nuestro Padre Jesús makes its procession. In the afternoon, los Santos Oficios (Jesus Death) are celebrated at the Church and at night, the Venerable Hermandad de Ntra. Sra. de las Angustias (Saint Buryal) realise its procession.

At night, la Easter Vigil is celebrated at the Church.
“Domingo de Resurrección”
The procession of Cristo Resucitado is celebrated, with the traditional custom to make presents by the neighbours to make a auction at the Chipe of San Ramón in the gardens of La Glorieta to collect money for the Real Archicofradía de Nuestro Padre Jesús.
