| Description = The attractive station and shed at Oschersleben. In front of the water tower a class 50 is in steam. Another 50 was shunting at the former junction at Blumenberg a few km towards Magdeburg. A pot of coffee in the Mitropa restaurant here cost 1.68M, and a large photograph of Erich Honecker looked down on the drinkers and diners. Another large derelict Class 50 was parked in the station. Until just before this time, Class 50 steam locomotives were used on passenger trains on the short branch line to Gunsleben at the former border.
