The damaged elevator of Supermarine Spitfire Mark VC, EP350 'VL-F', of No. 167 Squadron RAF, at Ludham, Norfolk, after its return from a fighter sweep over northern France on 18 February 1942 during which it was attacked and badly shot up by German Focke Wulf Fw 190s. Despite the damage to the aircraft, the pilot, Pilot Officer C T K Cody, managed to fly the aircraft back to Ludham, where it was repaired and eventually returned to service.}}
