In the same year the property was owned by {{w|Pietro Mascagni}} by notarial act of July 6 and registered on 24 in Livorno. In this villa Mascagni composed the “Lodoletta” and “Il piccolo Marat”. Following the death of Mascagni the villa passed to the sons Domenico and Emilia who decided, at first time, to transform it into a Museum.
