Growing up, wasn’t easy for Jay. Being raised by a single parent mother. In a fatherless household without any siblings. He began cutting grass, in-order to buy his own DJ equipment (June 23, 2006). His goal was simple. Jay, wanted to save up enough money before school started. Luckily enough, he succeed. Buying all of his DJ equipment himself. Beginning, his musical journey towards success.

On August 26, 2006, he performed his first gig. For a friends birthday party. I sucked Said, (DJ JAY-LEW). Rachel Stafford, (Celebrity Entertainment Lawyer) who also attended. Said that, she wasn’t impressed by his performance. Nor was his family, and friends. A good friend of Jay's, DJ Tay James. Better know as (Justin Bieber's official DJ). Today, Jay is the founder of Sick World Records, and author of "Don't Believe The Hype". Over the years he’s flawlessly rocked parties at universities, area events, and nightclubs soon becoming a resident DJ at various arenas, national sporting events, and nightclub's abroad. As Lew continues to travel around the world rocking “sold out” concerts, and introducing his talent to thousands of fans across the globe. He still remains a humble gentleman, and man of soul.
