Cody aircraft mark IB lying nose down on the ground with the rudder sticking into the air and being looked at by several soldiers. Cody escaped from this crash unhurt apart from a cut on his face. It was caused by the front elevator and rudder spars snapping due to excessive force being placed on them when Cody attempted to make a turn in the aircraft.
