A busy scene in a disused dance hall, somewhere in the Midlands, which is now used as the Army Post Office. Sorting is underway by members of the Auxiliary Territorial Service and men who had previously sorted for the General Post Office. Mail is first sorted into the various branches of the services and then, from there, it is sorted into individual units. Large grids containing sacks are used to sort the letters and parcels into their various groups.}}
