EGYPT (1969 – 1979)
In 1969, Initiation into Traditional Karate with the first generation of Egyptian Karate experts. At that time, Egypt was affiliated to IAKF under Hidetaka Nishiyama presidency.
Member of the Egyptian national team until 1979.
Several times Champion of Egypt. Medal-holder in Championships of Africa and other International championships.
Involved in the development of Karate in the city of Cairo and several regions of Egypt.
Participation in TV programs dedicated to the promotion of Traditional Karate and to help the Traditional Karate development all over Egyptian territory.
He introduced Karate in Cairo within the largest and the most prestigious Club of Egypt (club EL SHAMS). Today, this club includes 18 instructors and 2000 karateka.
In 1978, while studying at the University of Physical and Sports Education in Cairo, he included into university a training program for Karate from the first to the fourth year. This program is recognized by the Ministry of Egyptian National Education and still taught until today.
The same year, he was congratulated by the Egyptian prime Minister for the Karate development in Egypt.
In 1979, Departure from Egypt and settling in France.
FRANCE (1979 – today)
Due to the fact that Karate in France was part of the WUKO and also there was no Traditional Karate Federation, Mr. Marhomy joins a J.K.A. association. He also gets involved into its promotion in France and takes part in several European JKA competitions.
In 1983, he successfully obtains the equivalence of his diploma from the Ministry of French National Education, and he becomes a teacher in French school.
In 1984, Creation of his first Dojo in Paris, France.
In 1985, he obtains the French nationality.
From 1986 until today, he teaches in many European countries and on the African continent in special training courses.
In 1993 and 1994, Coach of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Morocco National Teams.
In 1994, Creation of a multiple-sport dojo named FSKAM.
In 1996, Creation in France of a real Federation dedicated to Traditional Karate named FKTAMAF, which officially represents the ITKF in France and overseas departments (Dom-Tom).
The FKTAMAF gathers nearly five thousand members. More importantly, it has become a true federation of Traditional Karate thanks to the support of Nishiyama Senseï, who used to come every year to conduct an International seminar in Paris.
Official in international events organized by the ETKF and the ITKF. Selected judges for ITKF World and European Cups. Selected judges for finals in ITKF World and European Championships.
Since 1996, he went assiduously to the ITKF Summer camp in San Diego, USA.
In 2000, he receives the Medal of the Merit decreed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports for all the rendered services.
In 2002, Creation of “TODOME” magazine in French language for the promotion of traditional karate.
In 2003, he successfully obtains his 7th Dan, granted by Nishiyama Senseï, former ITKF Chairman.
In 2004, Creation of a magazine named “SELF DEFENSE” in Arabic language for the promotion of Traditional Karate in African and Arabic region. It has been diffused over the African continent.
This was a real event because it remains the first magazine of martial arts in Arabic language.
In 2009, he organized the first seminar in homage to Nishiyama Senseï in Paris - France.
In 2012, he organized an International seminar hosted by the ETKF with the ITKF Chairman.
He is now responsible for the Traditional Karate development within the African continent. He is the ETKF Chairman and the supervisor for Sudan and Palestine federations.
