Solar Platoon
+
The Solar Platoon (៛៛៛៛៛៛៛ Tāiyo Shōtai) was led by the main character Popo. While most of the platoon contain up to thirty to fifty members, The Solar Platoon is the only platoon that contains only seven members. Its full name is the The United Solar Platoon For Wanted Children From Japan, the 67th Platoon, Space Inventory of Justice (៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛ Danketsu Shita no Tāiyo Shōtai no Tame ni Kodomo Wakarimasuka Shōtai Mā Kigo no Mayayoshi). In the English dub of the anime, it is referred to as The Movement of the Solar Platoon and the Nation (T.M.S.P.N). Popo refers the term as "insightful".
+
+
The intial operation of the Solar Platoon is to steathfully take care of Earth and rely information for the platoon itself. The seven members were dispatched as they were descending down to Earth. Having to be quickly infiltrated by the Masaki family, Popo and his members concealed themselves to different bedrooms, but they were accidentially discovered by the Masaki children; a pair of high school kids. With the Solar Platoon coming into contact with the other children, they were deemed to establish a new record for their to plot Tokkopen.
+
+
Abandoned by their own planet, the Solar Platoon must overcome the diffculties that are related to the difficulties within the nation they use to live in. They must have the ability to protect their human friends, their home base, and including Earth.

Sergeant Popo (ℳℳℳℳℳ Popo Gunso) is the leader of the Solar Platoon, evidenced by the blue star on his forehead and parka. He has a tan body, blue parka, and white headgear with a indigo star in the front, symbolizing that he is the lader. When the members of the Solar Platoon happen to be caught in an explosion, they are seen with their discolored headgear. Popo's black headgear is rarely seen. Unlike the other members of the Solar Platoon, Popo appears in the first chapter of the manga and the first episode of the anime.
+
+
Back in Solar Universe, Popo used to be professional officer, but since he arrived at Tokkopen, he almost lost all of his aptitudes for the next invasion, preferring to spend time with his family, crafting, doing household chores, and reading light novels (specially the comedy manga Lucky Star, which also uses references from other manga, anime, and video games), when there's nothing to do in the Masaki's residence. Occasionally when there is potassium in the air, Popo suddenly goes Powerful mode like he was back in Solar Universe. As a powerful sergeant, he pratically uses his spirit energy called Tai Tai Harakiri!. However, the Exccedlings (little cat-like creatures) often feeds the potassium off of Popo's body.
+
+
Compared to Keroro, Popo is carefree, supportive, out-going, happy-go-lucky, and a ditzy person (especially towards his older sister Lola), with a great attention span for anyhting that is not related to Japanese culture, though he is shown to be understandable and determined. He often spends time doing paperwork and has a habit of reducing the budgets that the members had made over a decade. Despite Popo's silly antics, he is shown to be an insightful young creature.
+
+
The goals that Popo achieve are getting his friends including his family, protecting citizens from destruction, preventing evil beings from taking over Tokkopen, and earning money for the people who are in bad societies. As a result to Popo's insightful outcomes, during the ending of Ice Climber vs. The Type Zero, Popo was rewarded for protecting his people, his family and friends, and the platoon's home base.
+
+
Popo's true goal is to keep the environment safe, but due to Lucas saying that Popo loves Rozen Maiden dolls, he decided to buy five of them.
+
+
Popo means Veggie in Japanese language and according to Yoshizaki, he decided to name his first character Popo; since Veggie doesn't suit the character better.
+
+
Popo almost end his sentence with desu ('is it so').
+
+
Nana
;Voiced by: Chiwa Sato (Japanese) Brina Palecina (English)
+
Private First Class Nana (៛៛៛៛៛៛៛៛ Nana Jōtōhei) is ranked Private First Class in the Solar Army's Solar Platoon. She is the newest member in the space inventory of justice, and is also the youngest, still having her little Exceed-like ears and tan face. Nana has a tan body, a pink parka with a red star and big sharp Anime eyes. She wears a red and pink mark on her pink vest, which matches Natsumi Watase's heart box that she needs when she's out with Sasami (her current boyfriend). She appears in the second chapter of the manga, and the second episode of the anime.
+
+
Nana is a young girl who has strong affections towards her friend Ness; though Ness seems unaware of it. In every episode, she will randomly pop out of different sections with her Valentine's Day card and will jump out and scare Ness: this is the exact same that happens in the anime, in the manga, however, she finally got Ness' a because she wants his approval. When something or someone is with Ness, Nana will fiercely summon a mallet out her three-dimesional pocket and swing it at a person who accidentially took him; however, Nana does feel ashamed when she does things that she's not suppose to do.
+
+
In contrast with the Sgt. Frog character Tamama, Nana has mood swings that border on a dissoactive identity disorder, just like her human partner Natsumi Watase. While she's exuberant and determined on one side, she is violent and contemptous on the other side. Nana is also known as a jealous tsundere because she does not want anybody to harm or touch Ness (especially towards Lucas, who gets comically abuse by her). With these negative traits, her Shriuken Power is release in her pigtails.
+
+
Nana loves being with boys, especially with Lucas' younger brother Ness. She likes living with her brother Popo and constantly cooks food for him when he's sick. Her name means Grace in Japanese but doesn't really fit her style.
+
+
Nana ends mostly her sentence with kaze when she's happy, and dame when she's mad.
+
+
Lucas
Coporal Lucas (៛៛៛៛៛៛៛ Ryūka Gochoū) is the Coporal of the Solar Platoon and their weapon expert. His hair is a peach-blonde in color, while his shirt is red and yellow and his pants are bluish-purple. He is the only member who doesn't have a star on his chest. Instead, he wears a round belt with squared latches tied around his waist and a rhombus backpack with orange spots. Unlike the other members of the platoon, Lucas appeared in the third volume (Chapter 11) in the manga, and episode three in the anime.
+
+
Lucas is in love with Nana Masaki, something everyone except Nana seems to know, since she defeated him in a one-on-one brawl match since his arrival at the Masaki house. That is the why he protects her from harm, or if someone tries to kidnap her; he views Setsu as his romantic rival, but with Taiyo, he's kind of tame. As living in a backyard clubhouse of the Masaki residence, Lucas spends all his time cleaning his PK weapons, roasting marshmallows (mostly for Nana), and inviting his most trusted friend, Megumi Kurosawa. But, one of the things that Lucas likes to do is battling his younger brother Ness in a one-on-one PK match: the incident that happened on Planet Solar when a large PK starstorm created a supernova. He often gets embarrased by Nana when she dresses him up as a maid.
+
+
Lucas is a short-tempered and reluancted boy who often gets annoyed by the laziness and slouchiness of the soldiers in the Solar Platooon (mostly towards Popo). He often gets into situations without even thinking about them (i.e. treats for his lover Nana). Because of his serious and unstable personality, he is often treated as the black sheep of the Solar Platoon. However, instead of being gruff, he is emotional and supportive.
+
+
Lucas' goal is conquering the world, he almost forgets about Nana.
+
+
Despite him being called in for call of duty, Lucas is serve as the comic relief throughout the anime and manga series. Most of his crush is something falling from Nana's bedroom window, or being scratched by Exceedlings, and causing chaos for himself and the platoon. At times, his unwilling dilemma towards Ness often describes him as an uncharacteristically sarcass and mischeivious boy. His feelings towards her often gets him in the hand of world domination and if the outcome is revealed, then Lucas and Nana will have droopy smile on their faces.
+
+
Lucas is the only member of the platoon who often suffers from a disease called The Overlapping Defiency Stress Disorder when something about love is brought up, Toon Link treating him with contempt, or if something bad happens (i.e. bombing up the house). In Episode 9, he suffers from a serious disease called The Love Hallucinator when sees false images of Nana kissing him in a comical manner. The 4 characters that Lucas have are:
+
+
* Lukan - The evil Lucas. He often fights Lulicon, and holds no affections towards Nana.
+
* Lulicon - The fear-filled Lucas. He often gets scared of Lukan because of his violent behavior; but sometimes he stands up for himself when he's in a fight.
+
* Louis - The housewife Lucas. Likes cooking, moping, and pampering Lukan.
+
* Lucir - A Spanish accent Lucas. Has a very good Spanish.
+
+
Lucas almost end his sentence with da.

Sergeant Major Ness (៛៛៛៛៛៛ Nesū Socho) is the head of communications of the Solar Platoon, and also the fourth member of the platoon itself. He wears a red baseball cap with a Nintendo sign attach to it (it is mentioned that Ness was originally created by the Nintendo company in 1985), a yellow and blue shirt, blue trousers, and red shoes. His hair is black, while his eyes are brown. When Ness was a young boy, he originally wore his brown cap which was torn when he was playing baseball in Jokkuken; but his brown shirt and pants remains constant. As the next latest member, he appeared in the fourth volume of the manga (Chapter 20) and episode nine of the anime.
+
+
Although he has major role in the platoon, he is not the leader of the Solar Platoon; however, he is a scientist who researches and discover the information that is within the Solar Platoon and the Tokkopenians (in episode 18, he used his Wirless International Inventory Computer, abbrievated as WINC, to research about the Nightosphere Platoon and their mastermind plan into taking over Tokkopen (a Japanese town inhabitated by children). Whenever something about the Nightosphere is mentioned, Ness will seriously embrace the intelligence that he has in his mind and will constantly comes up with a plan to terrorize the platoon. As an insightful and acceptable leader, Ness is only one who can encounter any environment within just thirty-minutes.
+
+
Ness is intelligent, decent, coordinated, and downright strict, mostly toward Lucas when he's not cooperating with the other members as he was back in Planet Solar; however he has tendencies of reenacting with his older brother Lucas and constantly working together to fulfill both of their dreams. Everyone likes him because he is serious and more specific than Lucas as Lucas is very frail and gruff.
