Just a comment here... this "noise" in the background of the original image is just the texture of the background and isn't something that needs to be "fixed". Not every background needs to be smooth and groovy. Some of us like a simple non-obtrusive background that doesn't overwhelm the subject. :::It looks like corrugated card background, sorry, I have redone the next render without that look, is it the right direction otherwise though ? I can try to squeeze in some more hues, I should examine the numbers that it is producing on those grains to see how far apart in spectrum they are, and make them smaller as well.
