:::::: That means we're not just talking championship belts here. Every single WWE-picture of wrestlers, merchandise, and significant events have been violating WWE's copyright for years. The thing is, WWE obviously knows about these pictures being used and has yet to send a copyright claim our way. They obviously don't care. I'm not saying that's a reason to keep the pictures, but it definitely is a reason as to why they won't ever make a statement on it. In the past, I have left them emails and voice messages asking them for permission and they just don't respond. They just don't care, so I don't know how we can resolve this problem. ::::::: You shouldn't accept a faulty copyright notice. If you take a photo during a wrestling event, then you hold the copyright to the photo – as long as you are not taking a photo of something copyrightable such as a belt. There might be a house rule saying that it is illegal to take photos, but that is a contractual issue. In that case, the organiser can sue the photographer for violating terms to which he agreed when buying an admission ticket, but it doesn't prevent anyone else from using the photo. But like I said on [[w:WT:PW]], I feel we should move the pictures onto the Wikipedia projects so the various encyclopedias can decide on when and how to apply FU.
