:vd (as the editor who originally tagged the photograph as a copyright violation). The photograph contains a non-de minimis derivative of a modern statue that was temporarily exhibited in the foyer of the National Museum of Singapore, and has since been removed. Unfortunately, freedom of panorama in Singapore only extends to permanently displayed artworks. The statue closely resembles Michelangelo's statue of David (clearly now in the public domain), but there isn't enough evidence to tell if it is identical. Based on our precautionary principle, since it is possible that the statue is not identical and thus may have sufficient originality to be copyrighted, the photograph should be deleted. In any case, even if the statue is identical to the public domain original, it is covered in a non-de minimis fabric with a pattern that we have to assume is copyrighted unless shown otherwise. — SMUconlaw (talk) 16:33, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
