The '''''Dashing Wave''''' was a medium clipper ship built in 1853 by Fernald & Pettigrew, Portsmouth for Samuel Tilton & Co., Boston. 1866 sold to Washington Libby & Co., 1900 to Thomas Scott & J.A. Stewart, Tacoma and 1902 to Taku Canning Co. and was reduced to a barge. 1922 stranded on the mud flats at Seymour Narrows and became a total loss.
