'''Carlos Noriega Coello''' (1935–2011) was a [[Mexico|Mexican]] veterinarian and nutritionist. Born in [[Mexico City]], [[Mexico]], was always a student of excelence and an awarded athlete, football, soccer and golf player. He graduated in veterinary medicine at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and began working for Pfizer Laboratories in Mexico City. Later, Dr. Noriega obtained a master's degree in animal nutrition at Texas A&M University specializing in small species animal nutrition. Among the companies he collaborated for were: Sandoz, Malta and La Hacienda. Years later, he created his own animal nutrition consulting and premix manufacturing firm called NorMix. Among his various contributions, Dr. Noriega introduced Phytase to the Mexican poultry diets which later became an industry standard. By the end of the 1970's he was named the official Poultry Nutrition Consultant for the most important poultry farms in Central Mexico: El Calvario and PATSA, located in Tehuacán Puebla. This became his last and most important professional responsibility which he held with pride for the next 32 years. Dr. Noriega's passion for knowledge and excellence combined with his spotless reputation of honesty and professionalism, made him become an industry reference inside and outside the Mexican boundaries.
